Hardwood plywood is a manufactured plywood panel made up of three or more layers, with a hardwood face species (like red oak ,birch, walnut, maple and many more). The typical hardwood log produces a large amount of B-and C –grade material.
Hardwood plywood is used in millwork for the crafting of furniture, cabinets, chests, built-in closets, kitchens, architectural applications, doors, paneling, toys, musical instruments, sporting equipment, skateboards etc.
Strength – pound for pound, plywood is stronger than steel in static bending strength. what makes plywood so strong is its unique cross – layered structure. The adhesives used to bond the veneers in plywood are actually stronger than the wood itself .Plywood is an inexpensive and green alternative to traditional solid wood and is available in many grains, species, and grades. Known for its strength and durability, plywood is less likely to warp than softwood plywood
Since solid wood homogenous material, it is stronger than plywood. Hardwood is denser and more substantial than softwood because it comes from deciduous trees and includes teak and Indian rosewood. Pine and mango are examples of softwoods.
Despite its strength, plywood maintains impressive levels of flexibility, making it perfect for use in furniture or anything that uses curved surfaces. Due to the application of substances to wood veneers during the manufacture of the plies that makes up plywood, it is moisture-resistance and chemical-resistance.
